Sales are down over 14 percent over last November and nearly 20 percent below long-term averages. With that said, there have still been over 15,000 homes sold in Calgary this year.
The inventory levels still remain well above the levels of November 2017 and are 32 percent higher than typical levels for November so it remains great for buyers and investors. As a seller, you may not have the luxury of waiting or comparing to other years. Looking at the present, inventory levels for November were 6,501 units compared to 7,342 in October. As inventory reduces, it’s a great time to come on the market as a seller. Less competition provides the opportunity for faster and higher sales.
