The inner-city communities of Mission and Cliff Bungalow are south of 17th Avenue SW bordering 4th Street south to the Elbow River.

Originally a Francophone settlement, Mission was one of the earliest non-Native settlements in the Calgary area and the earliest Roman Catholic centre in southern Alberta. It is still possible to feel the French influence today from some of the original buildings and the new bi-lingual street signs.

Cliff Bungalow offers a wide variety of housing options including turn-of-the-century homes all the way up to modern condos. In Mission, there are ample rental apartments or home buyers can find character homes, modern loft-style townhouses, and both new and older style condominiums.

The neighbourhoods of Mission and Cliff Bungalow both border 4th Street which is known for boutique shops, countless restaurants and patios, professional services, beautiful river pathways, and Calgary’s largest street festival, the Lilac Festival.

A few of our favourite shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood include Mercato (and Pizza Mercato) for the most amazing Italian food in the city. For pasties, La Boulangerie, Yann Haute Patisserie, and Purple Perk Cafe. Other great restaurants include Vin Room, Añejo, OEB Breakfast Co, and FOO Asian Street Food. Boutique shops include Without Co for organic and natural health and beauty products, Frilly Lilly provides mani, pedis, and beauty services, Feisty Consignments, Bin905, and so many more!

Mission and Cliff Bungalow are both amazing neighbourhoods in Calgary to call home.
